Seeed Studio and the Maker Movement in Shenzhen http://www.mobilegeeks.com The Maker Movement is a global one, but in China it's on a whole other level. Shenzhen is a global production capital and the makers of cheap and cheerful products are now looking to test the waters with something else. Seeed Studio is a maker space that has it's own production facility whose focus is rapid prototyping. They can make up to 10,000 pieces a day and when you get big enough and they can't handle your production they'll simply pass you on to Foxconn.
