See how to measure the power consumption with a multimeter, an electronic meter when you stop your car. The engine must be turned off, the door closed, the lights off, as if we were going home, only the front hatch open. • If we have an alarm, the damper closing sensor is pressed with something heavy so that the alarm would think that the damper is closed. • The maximum current consumption should be within 0.05A or 50mA, and special cars it may be even 0.07, but this must be taken into account by the car manufacturer with a suitable battery, i.e. its capacity. • On the multimeter we set on the 10A or 5A dial, depending on which meter we have. • Open the red probe plug in the meter to the maximum current of 10A or 5A and disconnect the positive clamp from the positive pole of the battery. • We apply the red probe to the positive pole of the battery and the black one to the positive pole and after a while we see the result of the measurement. For me it is 0.04A, or 40mA, because mA is 1 / 1000A. • You can leave the connected system by, for example, a few minutes and verify that after a few minutes the charging will not decrease, because maybe some module of comfort, lighting or alarm will be turned off. • If we would like to measure the power consumption without losing power to the electrical circuits, we would have to ask the other person to keep the probes pressed to the pole and the pole, and the days unfasten the clamp, the measurement is carried out by the meter, but the circuit is not unplugged, but be careful! That there will be no short-circuits. • Possibly we can use wires, i.e. connect the ends of the wires to the probes and the pole and pole and send the disconnect, but you also need to be very careful, it's best to do as I showed in the film and it will be the safest! • It is worth using instead of this type of low-quality meters, use meters for about PLN 100, whose functions are only selected, and the units are automatically selected, i.e. ranges.
