In this video I demonstrate using softimage to model a giraffe. • Softimage is my favorite tool for modeling either a base model or detailed organic shapes. • it is super fast and has many unique features you never find in other packages which makes it a powerful tools for a full production. • Adding some basic rig to parts of models to check if the final model works fine without distracting modeling stack is an awesome ability that Softimage XSI has and using it correctly, would speed up the whole character pipeline by testing the rigging while in modeling phase. • even though it is discontinued by autodesk some of it's features are still way more advanced than other similar packages, perhaps one of reasons why it is discontinued ! • #softimagexsi #modeling #samankhorram.com
