Kinematics of a cleco fastener (Wing Nut) mechanism, this simulation was created in the CATIA V5 DMU Kinematics workbench. A mechanical animation can be helpful when learning how mechanisms work. A cleco is a fastener used to temporary align, fasten, and clamp sheets, stiffeners, plates, etc. This cleco features a wing nut for tightening, which has a greater clamping capacity than traditional spring loaded clecos.
