Prior to that time, I was on a quest. A quest to learn EVERYTHING there was to know about Reiki. I spent vast amounts of time tracking down and studying with system founders whenever possible. I put everything I learned into this class. People literally came from all over the world to be one of the twenty people allowed to attend. Fortunately, it was videotaped. • The reality is that what works best are the original systems and techniques that form the foundation of the major and minor styles of Western Reiki. Generally, you can't get this foundational level information in Reiki classes today. • Reiki has changed so much since this class. Often times we think that 'newer' and 'updated' material are better. This doesn't seem to be the case with Reiki. This class offers you a time capsule back to how Western Reiki was taught 20 years ago, when it was much closer to its 'originally powerful' form. This class teaches you the core form of Western Reiki along with the early major deviations of it that have become the basis of so many other systems. It does not cover the Japanese styles that became known later. • A good example is a Reiki system formerly known as 'Reiki as retrieved by Sai Baba' or simply 'Sai Baba Reiki'. Today, it forms the basis of dozens of systems, including major ones such as Tera Mai™ and Karuna®. This class teaches the core material from the original system (I learned it in a one-on-one class with Kathleen Milner, the founder, in her home), allowing you to go to the source. • Little did I know at the time that the power all of us felt in the class came not only from the participants and knowledge, but also from the thousands of others that would be joining in later.
