The crossing gate installation is complete. And it actually works! • This segment shows the mechanical work- mounting the gates, setting up the bell crank assemblies, hooking up the Teflon and stainless steel wires to the actuators, mounting everything under the layout, and making all the connections. We then show some of the testing for the system to ensure proper operation. • I am not the most mechanically inclined individual, so bear with me and I realize this may be much easier for others! • After the 29 minute mark the video covers the operation of the PGCC card and the crossing system under normal conditions and also highlights some of the operational nuances one will notice with a current detection system. These are not problems, just things to be aware of. We are using C/MRI with DCCOD block detectors and the system program is running in Visual Basic 6. • Hopefully this 3 part series was helpful to some folks and gave you an idea what to expect if you wish to install a similar gate system on your layout. • Thank you for watching.
