How To Install Ladders For An Inground Pool

Want to learn how to install in-ground pool ladders and the anchors that secure them? In this longer video, John does just that with our in-ground pool renovation. We decided on Saftron composite ladders, and the corresponding ladder anchors since the electrical inspector approved them for use. We didn't realize that the microphone battery was dead halfway through the video, however we think the steps are pretty clear. Here is what John's steps by step process in the video: • 1. Put the ladder together. Measure the ladder to make sure they match what the manufacturer technical sheet states. • 2. Go outside to the pool and measure from the inside of the pool wall to mark where concrete core drilling will occur. • 3. Re-measure a second time (you only get one shot with concrete drilling). • 4. Core drill the concrete ladder footings. • 5. Clean out core holes with shop-vac, making sure to not leave loose debris. • 6. Dry fit anchors first, measure again to make sure everything will fit. • 7. Tape ladder anchor hole to prevent construction grout from filling the anchors on the inside. • 8. Dampen core holes, prepare to mix high PSI construction grout. • 9. Mix grout to desired consistency, pour in and around anchors. • 10. Float/feather grout to be flush with concrete, making sure to clean any stray mix. • 11. Allow anchors to set for 1 hour. • 12. Slide ladder apparatus into anchors, making sure each upright is level. • 13. Tighten anchor bolts • 14.
