Winter sowing seeds in jugs

Just because it is still winter on Rod Ridge Farm doesn't mean I'm not thinking about the garden. This year, I have decided to do some winter sowing of some cold hardy seeds. After preparing the milk jugs, I sowed seeds in moistened soil. I labeled each jug multiple times and set the jugs outside to allow the seeds to sprout as the jug will act like a greenhouse. #homesteading #selfsufficient #seedstarting #wintersowing #greenhousejugs
