Quick instructions on how to control set your in game FPS from the Default to match your monitor refresh rate. Like, Subscribe Thank you for Watching! • EDIT ## The file location has changed since I created this video: To the Preferences.xml file in the C:\\Games\\World_of_Warships_NA main directory. NOTE ** NOT the User_preferences.xml file ** Hope this helps! • • ** Edit May 17 2022 ** There are now two lines that control FPS in game. • maxFrameRate 144 /maxFrameRate is the in battle setting. Set this from the now unlimited FPS to match your monitor refresh to cut GPU usage and power consumption of your system. • • maxDockFrameRate 60 /maxDockFrameRate is the fps while in port - probably wise to leave this at default 75 or even lower to reduce heat power consumption of your GPU. • No need to have 144+fps opening crates ;) • Remember to select save from the File menu before exiting.
