Peter Kutzer, instructor at the Manchester, Vermont, ORVIS Fly Fishing School offers three different methods for making your cast curve to the right or left.This is a handy cast to learn if you want to try and present your flies around the side or back of a rock. His trick of twisting his wrist at the end of the forward cast will have you running out to the lawn with your fly rod to practice. • It looks so simple, and the results are impressive, but you'll find that some practice to get the timing and twist just right are required, so this is definitely a bit of an advanced cast to learn.
