In late 2012 Wild Frontiers Operations Manager, Alan Curr, travelled to India and to embark on an adventure Slowly Down The River Ganges. Starting at a homestay in the Himalayas, he then travelled through India's first National Park and onto the famous city of Lucknow, scene of the great siege in 1857. The river journey began just outside the holy site of Allahabad with two days floating serenely down the river and camping on its banks before concluding in Varanasi.
