We all have gifts. Some of them may or may not include baking. But you won’t know until you’ve tried it, right? Thankfully, if you’ve never attempted to make a yeast bread, this simple and basic recipe is the perfect way to dig in and experiment. • Some might even call it “beginner’s bread” although that can be a bit misleading. Even though this bread is in fact, great for beginners, it’s an excellent recipe for bakers at any level of skill and experience. • But what if you don’t want just regular old sandwich bread? What if you want something that’s crispy and crusty on the outside, yet chewy and soft on the inside? And even more than that, you don’t want to work too hard to get it? When that happens, this No Knead Artisan Bread fits the bill perfectly. • We daresay there’s nothing more joy-inducing and intoxicating than the smell of freshly baked bread browning gently in the oven. It’s one of the best smells on the planet, in our most humble opinion. Right alongside the smell of rain, woodsmoke, and cookies. Not necessarily in that order. • This delicious bread recipe uses our Artisan Bread Flour blended with salt, water, and a bit of active dry or instant yeast. It’s as simple as combining all your ingredients to form your dough, and then letting it rise to its full, glorious potential. • Once it has risen (you’ll want to give it about 10 hours at room temperature), you just shape it, let it rest for 30 minutes or so, then pop it in a Dutch oven and let it bake. When it’s done baking and has cooled down, you can slice it up however you’d like, and serve. We highly recommend serving it warm, with a pat of butter and a sprinkle of salt.
