FERDINAND MARCOS STADIUM UPDATE 2022 • The Ferdinand Marcos stadium in Laoag city ilocos norte is almost finished..This project will be opened by June 2022 • To boost sustainable development in the province through quality infrastructures and public facilities, the provincial government of Ilocos Norte launched the “Big 3” infrastructure projects. • The “Big 3” infrastructure projects include the construction of the Provincial Capitol expansion building, reconstruction of the Dap-ayan Food Park, and the total rehabilitation of the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium. • With a design capacity of 12,000 people, the Ferdinand E. Marcos stadium or FEM Stadium is an under construction stadium located in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. The said stadium was equipped with a stadium-park and training center • It is part of the Big 3 project in Ilocos norte along with Dap-ayan Food Park, and Provincial Capitol expansion. • A bigger and wider sports stadium located at the heart of this city is scheduled to reopen this June 2022 after undergoing a major rehabilitation since 2019. • Latest construction progress shows the stadium is almost finished and the completion of the province’s Big 3 projects, which include the PHP1 billion renovation of Ferdinand E.
