The Unknown God

In this video we explain why the Athenians listened to Paul when he talked about the “Unknown God,” and why at least some of them found him convincing. There is actually a reason why they did, and I (Ivor Kovac) came across some material which provides context by accident while reading the Timaeus and Critias Dialogues. The Timaeus and Critias Dialogues were written by Plato, who founded the Academy of Athens. Timaeus deals primarily with the physical structure and origin of the universe, while Critias deals with history and contains the only written account (so far) of Atlantis. We also covered Atlantis in another video, if anyone is interested in that. • • Sources: • “Timaeus and Critias” by Plato • KJV Bible • https://www.britannica.com/biography/... • https://www.britannica.com/topic/Acad...
