August 2018 - most of California was on fire so we just drove to the Inyo National Forest Eastern Sierra Visitor Center and asked what we could hike to avoid fires and smoke. • Originally, we'd hoped of doing the Rae Lakes Loop or something with similar mileage. The ranger suggested hiking Mt. Langley via Cottonwood Pass and then heading over Old Army pass to get back down to the car at Horseshoe Meadows. Just enough of an ass-kicking to make it worth our time. • This video highlights day one of the three night trip and features Cottonwood Pass to Soldier Lake. • Stay tuned for the next two videos to see footage of hiking Mt.
