Bunnings BBQ Cliff Jump

How did a Bunnings BBQ Gazebo end up at the bottom of the cliff on the remote Three Mile Beach (Nullawarre Coastal Reserve)? • These gazebos aren’t up for grabs (not sold to the public). They’re strictly for the sacred Bunnings sausage sizzles. • When I saw this large tent at the base of a cliff, I thought, ‘Oh, hell no!’ and hit up #SnapSendSolve to ping @parksvic . Too big, too awkward, and way too much of a pain to move ourselves. I wasn’t about to lug this thing home and then spend my next six bin nights filling up my bin with it. • I was ahead of Luke, collecting plastic down the beach. When I turned back, there he was, hauling the damn thing up onto the sand and trying to fold it into a tidy little package. Took him a solid 30 minutes of bending and breaking to split it into two bundles (one for him, one for me). Watching him struggle was its own form of entertainment. • Back in the car, drenched in sweat after lugging it 2 km along the beach and up the cliff, I asked, ‘What now?’ • ‘Take it back to Bunnings,’ Luke says. • Great. Nothing like showing up at Bunnings with a beach-weathered gazebo. • So, we did it. Marched right into Bunnings, gazebo in hand. The manager’s best guess? Someone nicked it from a Bunnings dumpster.” • Or maybe it just decided to go on a beach holiday? Any theories, folks?
