https://onlineguitaracademy.net - In your journey as a student of the Flamenco guitar, your goal is twofold. • First, focus on the basics. Work toward mastering the fundamental aspects of basic forms (palos) while you are building your technical level. • An essential part of this process is studying traditional falsettas. When you do, be sure to explore the harmonic, rhythmic and melodic structure of these falsettas (or pieces) for a deeper understanding of these aspects to prepare yourself for the next stage--to reach a level at which you start creating your own falsettas and pieces. Eventually, you will reach an improvisational level in the Flamenco guitar. • At this stage, it is invaluable to study complete pieces by Flamenco guitar masters such as Paco de Lucia, Sabicas, Tomatito, V. Amigo, G. Nunez, as supplementary practice. Run through these pieces using a metronome or a rhythm track to make sure that you can stay in compas, (within the rhythmic structure of the form). • This video is a practice illustration of this stage in your practice. Note that the tempo chosen is slightly slower than Paco de Lucia's original tempo. • Once you have reached this level, and you can perform pieces close to the preferred tempo comfortably, discontinue the use of any metronome and rhythm tracks. This will allow you to focus on the dynamic relationship with the musical phrases and the rhythmic structure. A true piece of music, whether it is Flamenco, classical or any other style, is one that is allowed to breathe. No piece of music should be restricted to a fixed metronomic tempo. • Flamenco music has traditionally been part of communal activities. A traditional performance features an ensemble, such as live accompaniments such as palmas or cajón, whether it is a 2 or more guitarists, a cantador (singer), or other accompanying instruments. We suggest practicing with a palmas accompaniment, so that you get used to playing with others. • LAGA Online is Los Angeles Guitar Academy's online guitar lesson program that takes you step by step through each stage of your development as a Flamenco guitar student. Rhythm tracks are available for current LAGA Flamenco students on your member's homepage. • Recommended videos: • ✔️ Piñonate (Bulerias) by Paco de Lucia: •    • Piñonate (Bulerias) by Paco de Lucia   • ✔️ Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag for solo guitar: •    • Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin arr. b...   • ✔️ Hungarian Dance No. 5 for solo guitar: •    • The Four Seasons, Summer, 3rd mvt, A....
