A band of volunteer firefighters in Hamilton County are being praised after saving a life — a cat's, to be more specific. • • The Jackson Township Fire Department received a call from a family after they exhausted their attempts of trying to get the cat, named Ralph, down from a tree Sunday, Oct. 20. The family cat found himself stuck nearly 40 feet up in the air. • • The family made it a point to inform dispatch this was in fact, not a prank. • • Ralph's family and neighbor believe a dog may have chased the cat up the tree. • • After some coaxing, fire crews said Ralph came down to 30 feet. He wanted to come all the way down, but he couldn't find the courage to do it himself. • • That's when fire crews got a ladder from the engine, and one of the firefighters made his way up to save Ralph. • • After returning to the ground, Ralph ran back home and was reunited with his family. • • MORE: https://www.wthr.com/article/life/hea...
