But do you know the difference between flu and cold symptoms? • The symptoms of swine flu are very similar to the symptoms most adults are already aware of as signs symptoms of typical influenza infestations. This includes fever, sore throat, malaise, muscle soreness/fatigue, decreased appetite, sneezing, coughing, headache and nausea. Swine flu also seems to include more frequent instances of diarrhea and/or vomiting, compared to most typical cases of human influenza. • A cold is a respiratory illness which is more tame than the flu. If you have a cold, the symptoms could make you feel sick for a few days, while flu symptoms could last for weeks. The flu can possibly lead to hospitalization and pneumonia. • You can prevent flu virus! • • Don't share drinks, food or utensils with sick people! • Always wash your hands before you eat! It will really help to keep away the germs! • Take more vitamin C! Bboost your immune system by eating lots of fresh vegetables and fruits! How about some broccoli, tomatoes or oranges? • Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Diluted fruit juices and herbal teas will increase your water intake, too! • Get plenty of sleep. Most people need at least 7 to 8 hours a night to get the best rest! • Don't stress out! Too much stress can weaken your immune system. • Take a multivitamin every day to make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals. • Exercise regularly! Exercise has been shown to help reduce the occurrence of colds and flu.
