In this Cities: Skylines 2 video I will be showing you how to fix the lack of high-skilled labour or previously known in Cities: Skylines 1 as not enough educated workers. • The first thing we are going to look at is the property details of the building with this problem. To do that just click onto the building and hover over the employees tab, here you can see how bad the situation is as you can see how many people work there overall, how many are of each educational level and how many open positions are available at this work place. • So, if the workplace is only missing a few people and the situation really isn't that bad then it may be just the case of bumping up the education budget a little bit. To do that just click on the city economy tab in the bottom right, then a window will pop up, just go along to services and then click on education and research, here you can adjust the budget to your liking. This way may only be a temporary fix but is useful if you don't have enough money to build another school, collage or university at this current time. • If the situation is a little bit more extreme then you'll want to have a look at the education demand. To do this click on the education research tab down the bottom, then an education demand / information window will appear in the top left. This will show you each educational level available, the amount of cims eligible of each level of education, the max capacity that each level of education can hold within your city and where you are on the level of managing to educate all of your eligible citizens compared to your max capacity. Ideally on each level of education you want to be in the green with your capacity amount above your eligible amount, if its the other way around and your eligible amount is above your capacity amount then you have a problem, you need to either upgrade the educational facilities you have to increase the capacity or you need to build more educational facilities overall to increase the capacity. • Another reason you might be having this problem appear is because of a high demand for residential zoning, this may be because you've let or left the game running for a while or you have been focusing on a project within the game and not looked at it for a while. So if your education demands are in the green I'd check that next, you may just need a population boost. • This problem will also appear if your citizens are having troubles getting to work. So to fix this you'll need to fix any traffic issues you have in your city. Also try adding more pedestrian footpaths throughout your city, this way citizens are more likely to walk to work than drive and get stuck in traffic, and finally try adding or improving your public transportation system, for example busses, doing this will lower the chance of traffic, get you some extra money and fix the high-skilled labour issue. • If you did find the video helpful give it a LIKE and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE if you want to see more helpful videos like this! • If you have any questions, suggestions or think I've missed something then leave a COMMENT and I'll be happy to help.
