His music works so well for so many reasons, if I wanted to list them all, it would take years, because I would always find new ones I´ve missed. So instead, let me try to show you how much I appreciate him by doing a piano cover of one of his more well known pieces: La Valse D‘Amélie. Don´t you just see the sweet, quirky little Amélie Poulain going about her day when you hear these dynamic, playful notes? I think the way her extraordinary mind works is portrayed so well by the rhythmic playfullness and the certain fantastic quality the piano music has to itself. The music sort of creates this world Amélie lives in, I always imagine it being the music Amélie herself has stuck in her head at all times. If my piano cover comes even close to the lightness this piece can transport, I have done my job right. I really hope this piano cover brings you the joy that it has brought me while playing it. I find that Yann Tiersens music is the best music to wake up and have breakfast to. This soundtrack in particular has a certain motivational effect to it, don´t you think?
