What's the best stethoscope for nurses and nursing students on a budget? In this video, I review the Prestige Medical Clinical Lite Stethoscope, model 121. My old stethoscope was wearing out and becoming discolored, so I decided to buy another one. People often ask me about a good inexpensive stethoscope to buy, so I thought I'd review one. • Note: this video was not sponsored or endorsed, but rather, I decided to purchase a new stethoscope on my own will and do a review on it. However, if you'd like to purchase it, you can do so through our affiliate ad link here: https://amzn.to/2Iq4yis • I think this stethoscope is a great deal for nurses and other medical professionals who need a basic stethoscope for listening to heart sounds, lung sounds, and so forth. • Here's what I like about this stethoscope: • My first stethoscope was a Prestige Medical brand, and it has served me well, so I like that this is also Prestige. • It picks up sound and I can hear them clearly. • I like the length of this stethoscope (shorter ones tend to fall off) • I love the color (it comes in many different colors) • It comes with a great warranty • The stethoscope's ear pieces are so much more comfortable than my last ones. • It is very lightweight. • It has a the non-chill ring, which makes it more comfy for patients. • What are the disadvantages of the Prestige Medical Clinical Lite Stethoscope? • Being a clinical lite, entry-level model, it's not going to have all of the bells and whistles of a more expensive stethoscope. • It's not for the pediatric patient population. • It's not tunable. • It's not going to be able to pick up those very sensitive sounds or heart murmurs (like a more expensive/sensitive stethoscope will). • Overall, I really like this Prestige Medical stethoscope, and if you're a nursing student or nurse on a budget, I do recommend it. You'll probably see me wearing it in my videos in the future. • However, if you are in a specialty such as pediatrics, or if you need to listen to more sophisticated sounds, you'll probably want to go with a more expensive model. • Facebook: / registerednurserns • Instagram: / registerednursern_com • Website: http://www.registerednursern.com/best... • #stethoscope • #nurse • #nursing • Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c... • Nursing School Supplies: http://www.registerednursern.com/the-... • Visit our website RegisteredNurseRN.com for free quizzes, nursing care plans, salary information, job search, and much more: http://www.registerednursern.com • Check out other Videos: / registerednursern • All of our videos in a playlist: • Insulin Onset Peak Duration Mnemonic ... • Popular Playlists: • NCLEX Reviews: • NCLEX Study Strategies • Fluid Electrolytes: • Fluid and Electrolytes Nursing • Nursing Skills: • Nursing Skills Videos • Nursing School Study Tips: • Nursing School Study Tips • Nursing School Tips Questions • Nursing School Tips Questions • Teaching Tutorials: • Teaching Tutorials • Types of Nursing Specialties: • Types of Nursing Specialties • Healthcare Salary Information: • Healthcare Salary Information • New Nurse Tips: • New Nurse Tips • Nursing Career Help: • Nursing Career Help • EKG Teaching Tutorials: • EKG/ECG Interpretation • Dosage Calculations for Nurses: • Dosage Calculations Nursing • Diabetes Health Managment: • Diabetes Health Managment
