It was risk-off during Tuesday’s trade as analysts started to question whether the recent rally was overdone. • The S P/ASX 200 Index fell 1.7% by the close of trade to 8,206 points. REITs and healthcare sectors were the worst performing. • Tech firm Wisetech rebounded from an earlier sell-off, amid reports a legal battle between CEO Richard White and his alleged former lover had been settled out of court. Wisetech rose 3% after plunging 15% during Monday’s trade. • Shares in Mineral Resources continued their decline, falling a further 5% after the lithium miner’s billionaire founder Chris Ellison admitted to tax evasion. • Shares in AV firm Audinate fell 6% after what analysts labelled a “vague” trading update. • The big four banks all traded in the red, sending the financial sector down 1.8%. • Praemium shares hit a more than one year-high on a strong quarterly update. • In the energy sector, Viva Energy plummeted 6%, reaching its lowest point in over 18 months after the fuel retailer reported weakening market conditions, decreased tobacco sales, and rising business costs. • Heading the other way was Hotel Property Investments.
