Microsoft Surface Book 1 Model 1703 Weird Issue

This is Microsoft Surface Book 1 model 1703 on which Windows could not be installed. I installed Ubuntu 22 and it worked fine. Then I replaced the battery and the screen and suddenly touch would not work and the computer will no longer boot from the USB.
