Mandocello Prototype

We have been working on an affordable, prototype Mando-Cello for some time now, and would like to hear your thoughts. The Mando-Cello is tuned like a cello (CGDA) but the string courses are doubled for a mandolin-like effect. It can be described as being to a mandolin, what a cello is to a violin. The extended jazz-guitar style body is designed to promote the lower register and is extremely comfortable to play. It features a maple neck and body, and a single humbucking pickup with tone and volume control mounted conveniently on the pick guard. • • This original tune by our luthier, Sidney, shows the instrument’s diverse range, great tone, beautiful aesthetics, and the huge possibilities for a new #Folkternative tone. • • Do you like it?
