He tried to kick a belt onto a pulley and got his leg crushed during his surgery, Bullock died of complications. • 3. Jean-Francoise Pilatre de Rozier • Rozier is known as the true father of aviation. He made the first hot air balloon flight in 1783. In 1785, Rozier tried to cross the English Channel in his balloon but it crashed, killing de Rozier and his passenger. • 2. Sylvester H. Roper • Roper invented the world’s first motorcycle. On, 1896, Roper was testing it at over forty mph sadly, he died in the accident. • 1. Horace Lawson Hunley • Hunley is known for inventing the submarine. After his first prototype killed 7 sailors.
