Kymara Unconscious Happiness Official Music Video

It’s almost 19 years ago that my beautiful dad passed away, on September 14, 2001. The summer before he passed away he suddenly wanted to go on lots of different trips with the five of us, one of which was a day to ‘de Efteling’ (a Dutch amusement park) and to the Railway Museum. It was almost like he knew that he wouldn’t stay with us for much longer. • My mother and father were a great team, dad would film everything and mom took beautiful pictures (the pictures that you’ve seen on my socials). A couple of weeks ago I got a message from Nikki (a friend that I know from nursery) saying that she wanted to make a music video for me with footage from our childhood. She didn’t know that I wanted to release ‘Unconscious Happiness’, a song about my early years, this all felt like it was ‘meant to be’ and Nikki and I set to work. • Two long days of digitizing old videotapes, video footage that I hadn’t seen in 19 years. For the first time after all those years I heard my dad’s voice, for the first time I saw him moving, laughing, making jokes, eating etc. for the first time I saw the five of us together. I can tell you guys, this was emotional and also so beautiful! • And Nikki, my sweet Nikki, watched all the videos with me, hugged me, laughed and cried with me. I am eternally grateful to her and this music video is SO dear to me.
