A visit to Fort Worden State Park in early August. • This is a park that encompasses a large fort with batteries along the beach that date back to the early 1900’s, barracks and officers’ quarters from the WW2 period, as well as beaches and a lighthouse. • This park is well-known for being the filming location for the 1980’s movie “An Officer and a Gentleman”. • There is no real hiking at this park, but plenty to explore in and around the old buildings and the beaches. • #washington #pnw #pacificnorthwest #lighthouse
