Tested the new Hoka SpeedGoat 5 - an impressive lightweight trail shoe perfect for gnarly terrain. These shoes feature a secure fit with a rounded V seam and plenty of toe room upfront. though no rock plate, the cushioned padding keeps feet protected on rugged trails. Comfortably ran several rocky miles at Santa Rita Ranch. Comparing to my go-to Hokas other brands, SpeedGoats have more padding stability. At $155, a durable option cheaper than similar models.
