The front bumper unit gives the SLS AMG its imposing appearance. • This film describes how to take off the bumper. • If there is carbon trim in the engine compartment, remove it. • This SLS has no carbon trim. • Raise the vehicle on the lift. • Unscrew the bolts shown here to remove the front engine compartment paneling. • There are two more bolts holding it in place. They are connected to the inside front wheel well paneling. • Remove these bolts as well. • Remove one more bolt found on the right-hand side of the vehicle. • Take off the front wheels. • This will give you access to the bolts in the wheel well. • Remove the three bolts on the top side. • Unscrew the two plastic nuts on the face side. • There is one more bolt at the front. • Remove the expansion clip located on the side of the front bumper at the bottom. • Take out three more expansion clips found in the wheel well. • The paneling is now detached. • Remove this screw at the bumper. • This allows you to detach the clamping bracket. • Unplug the electrical connector. • Repeat all of these steps on the other side of the vehicle. • Here you will also need to unplug the electrical connector for the Parktronic system. • Remove the two nuts (one on either side) found behind the plastic grille from the bumper. • Bring the vehicle back down. • Remove the eight bolts shown here at the front end of the engine compartment. • Carefully remove the bumper. • You can disassemble the bumper further if required. • The Parktronic sensor can be unclipped quite easily. • You can simply unplug the electrical connector for the outside temperature sensor. • All plastic grille pieces are clipped into place. • Install in the reverse order. • • =========================================================== • instagram: • / mbownersclub • twitter: • / mb_owners
