⚡️⚡️Do you struggle with Sciatic Nerve Pain during pregnancy? • The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in your body, running from your lower back under your uterus and down the leg. • During pregnancy, as your baby grows, your posture changes, centre of gravity changes, hormone changes, shifting your spine and pelvis, (and almost everything else in your body!) all this can exert some pressure on the sciatic nerve; this pressure might result in irritation, inflammation, and pain. • The pain spreads from the lower back, glutes, down the outer part of your leg and sometimes into the foot. • Exercises that strengthen the muscles to support the spine and hips are a great way to help relieve sciatic pain.
