Unthinkable is a heavy thought provoking psychological thriller. Three hidden nuclear bombs have been planted at undisclosed locations on United States soil. Although kept from the public, a national emergency is declared and the location of these nuclear munitions becomes the United States first priority. Samuel L. Jackson, a black-ops interrogator, and Carrie-Anne Moss, a FBI anti-terrorist agent, are called in to help in resolving this crisis. As the situation becomes increasingly critical, so does the decision making of our main characters. The movie does a fantastic job at taking basic ethical standings and making them extraordinarily complex, challenging one's very moral fiber. I believe this to be the primary focus of the film, the second being its elevated level suspense delivered in a very realistic and frightening scenario. Of a small cast and shot from few locations, the movie's budget was somewhat criticized. It is of my opinion the movie was done this way purposefully and not the results of a small budget. Although you will find a certain amount generic Hollywood dialogue, it's made up for in plot and suspense.
