His first publication was the Books of Blood, a collection of gruesome short stories, many of which would later be adapted into film. • Barker was a growing name in the mid-80s and people started to make movies based off of his stories. Some of the movies include Hellraiser and Candyman, but Barker’s success would not last long. • So what happened to Barker?
