Riding through a beautiful landscape coming from a natural phenomenon : what a magical show and world first : foil surfing on Mascaret ! • • Ludovic is an experienced surfer and skilled waterman. He dedicated 3 years of his life to accomplish this incredible feat. In addition to specific training during months, he developed an appropriate equipment to achieve this technical and artistic performance. • • “More than a project, it’s been my dream for the last ten years” explains Ludovic, worldwide prone paddle board champion and big wave surfer. • • When achieving his performance by foil surfing on Mascaret (french tidal bore) near Bordeaux, Ludovic Dulou could ride up to 40 km/h on this wave reaching up to 1.5 m high and a distance of 20 Km. « I foil surfed the effective distance of 6.5 kms or 12 kms if you take into account curves and bends, the pleasure of all surfers . What a great moment of joy during this ride ! It felt like I was flying over the Mascaret ! Speed and acceleration were just incredible compared to usual surf sessions.
