Martin Barre's guitar is actually not as dirty as it seems but it's the girth and power of a high wattage head plus multiple overdubs that give this song a huge guitar tone. Aqualung starts with a riff in the G blues scale but then goes in another direction with a climb from C#, to D# and F. We also hear an overdub which is pretty crucial to the riff, a major 3rd harmony and we show how to combine both parts into a one guitar arrangement. Enjoy your riff of the day guitar lesson!
