Crosstalk or Xiangsheng is a traditional Chinese comedic performance. It usually takes the form of a dialogue between two performers, although, at times, it can be in the form of a solo monologue. • Over the years, the format has begun to gain popularity in the West too, with international performers coming to China. For some, it offers an opportunity to learn the language.
