To qualify: • It must be a single family dwelling. Condos mobile homes and multi-unit complexes do not qualify. • It must be a homestead property, not a secondary home or an investment/rental property. • The home must be insured for under $500,000 • Proof of homestead exemption and insurance required before initial inspection will be scheduled. • My safe Florida home provides $2 for every $1 you spend, with a cap of $10,000 for approved repairs and upgrades. • You must use a designated contractor on the approved list, they will send it to you once you're inspector sends his results. • This is a reimbursement grant program, not a means for initial financing.
