#thanksgivingfeast #thanksgivingrecipes #holidaytable #holidaycooking #foodieholidays • Slow Low Roasted Turkey • Ingtredients • 1 12-14 lb turkey (thawed) • 1 stick of butter (softened) • 2 stalks of celery • 1 onion • 1 lemon • 5 cloves garlic minced • 1 Tbsp salt • 1 tsp black pepper • 1 tsp rosemary • 1 tsp sage • 32 oz. Chicken broth • 16 oz white wine (if desired) • Directions • Remove giblet and anything else inside the turkey cavity and rinse well with cold water. • Pat dry with paper towels inside and out. Place into a refrigerator to dry out at least 2 hours. • In a large bowl combine softened butter with garlic, salt, black pepper, rosemary and sage. • Remove turkey from fridge, split the turkey skin from the breast (you can use a spoon to do so) • Spread the butter mixture under the skin, inside the turkey and outside the entire turkey. • Quarter the onion and lemon, cut the celery in half and insert into turkey cavity. • Place the turkey on a wire rack inside a roasting pan, pour the chicken broth on the bottom of • the pan. Pour wine in the bottom of the rack with the chicken broth. Drop the giblet into the • bottom of the roasting pan. • Cover the roasting pan tightly with foil. Let the turkey sit out in room temperature until ready • to cook. • Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Place the turkey in the bottom rack and let cook overnight. It will • take about 12 hours to cook. (Basting is not necessary if foil is tightly wrapped). • Insert a meat thermometer into the thigh. If the thermometer reads 165 degrees, it’s almost • done. • Remove foil from the turkey, turn oven up to 450 degrees to crisp the skin. Cook for an • additional 35-35 minutes. • Remove the turkey from oven and let settle for 35-45 minutes. • Vegetable Stuffing • Ingredients • 5 stalks celery (diced) • 1 lg Spanish onion (diced) • 1 red bell pepper (diced) • 5 cups kale (chopped into small pieces) • 2 lg sweet potatoes (cooked in airfryer) • 6 cups baby bella mushrooms (sliced) • Olive oil • 1 Tbsp salt • Pinch Rosemary Pinch Sage • Pinch Thyme 6 cloves garlic (chopped) • Directions • In a large frying pan over low-med heat add 3 Tbsp olive oil.
