The most well-known harvest festival honoring San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, is the Pahiyas Festival in the Philippines. The festival, known as Pahiyas, is deeply rooted in the traditional celebration of the townspeople in thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. Kiping decorations are leaf-shaped and multi-colored rice paste wafers that are used to decorate the facades of homes alongside fruits and flowers from nature. The visual and gastronomic feast has gained national and international acclaim. It is held on the 15th of May every year. • Island Times: https://islandtimes.com/ • Help support @Island Times channel by hitting the subscribe and like button.
