We need: • Vial with liquid • Needle (thick, longer) • Needle (thin, short) • Small syringe (2ml) • Disinfectant squares • 1. Hands must be washed before each handling and application. • 2. Prepare a vial of liquid. • 3. Remove the stopper from the vial. • 4. Place the coarser needle on the syringe and draw in the contents. • 5. Replace the needle on the syringe with another, thinner one. • Application: • Clean the injection site with a disinfectant square (about 3 cm around the navel). • Remove the cover from the needle, turn the syringe upside down and gently squeeze • the excess air from the syringe, taking care not to squeeze out the drug. • Use your thumb and forefinger to create a skin lash. • Apply at a 90° angle by squeezing the plunger on the syringe as long as possible, while loosening the skin lash. Wait for a moment, pull out the needle. • We'll check to make sure we've applied the full dose. • Dispose of the needle and syringe and the glass ampoule in the appropriate sharps waste container. • Rub the injection site again with a disinfectant square. • For more information about Unica clinic visit our website: https://www.unica.cz/en
