This patient has made significant progress rehabbing from iliotibial (IT) band release surgery. Her hip strength continues progressing, and it’s time to improve gluteal strength, so the hip thruster has been introduced. Performing these exercises in double and single-leg variations has functional implications with squatting, deadlifting, lunging, jumping, walking, and running. A resistance band is placed above her knees to facilitate improved hip extension (gluteal activation) and lumbopelvic involvement for stability with higher-level activities. • Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based. • If you want to return to an active life following surgery • We Can Help You • 🔹Move Better 🔹Feel Better 🔹Live Better • Evolve Physical Therapy Sherwood • 20510 SW Roy Rogers Rd.
