Scary snake hissing LOUDLY! Few snakes can hiss loudly - the Burmese Python is one, and shown here. The King cobra can growl, the monocled cobras hiss a lot. The Russell's Viper (Chain Viper) can hiss loudly. The pythons have large lungs and really have the muscle to contract them to let out the hiss. Awesome snakes. Scary fast and strong strikes. • Some Burmese are agitated like this all the time. You can never hand-hold them without fear of getting tagged hard. Other Burmese are very easy going and never bite. The reticulated Pythons are usually worse as far as disposition. I wonder if this snake was abused before it arrived at the snake place and has a real fear and hate of humans.
