Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom. The movie features outstanding framing, gorgeous color, and the best wide shots ever put to cellulose. This 210-minute epic follows Lawrence as he partners with Prince Faisal of Jordan to help with the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire, an enemy of Britain during World War I. King Hussein of Jordan helped to bring this film to fruition and regularly visited the set. Peter O’Toole as Lawrence gives a frightening representation of what we now know as PTSD, and Omar Sharif, Claude Rains, Alex Guiness, and others round out a fabulous cast.
