Nikole Hannah-Jones is an award-winning investigative reporter who covers civil rights and racial injustice for The New York Times Magazine. Her books, essays, and articles seek to discover and expose institutional racism in the United States. She is most known for her work on The 1619 Project, an isssue of the magazine that re-examined the legacy of slavery in the United States.. She won the Pulitzer Prize in Commentary in 2020 for her opening essay in the issue. • Today, Hannah-Jones is writing a book on school segregation called The Problem We All Live With, which will be published by the One World imprint of Penguin Random House.
