In this video I will show you how we can get the Schmid factor of the FCC phase using the 3 Euler angles. • The steps are the following: • 1.) Calculate the orientation matrix from the 3 Euler angles. • 2.) Using the orientation matrix and the stress defined in the specimen coordinate system, calculate the stress in the crystal coordinate system. • 3.) Using the new stress value and the 12 independent FCC slip systems, calculate the 12 Schmid factors. • 4.)
