[4K] Winston's Whistle-Stop Tours in Thomas Land at Drayton Manor, join the Planit Park Kids as they ride on the elevated track around Thomas Land, the perfect way to see all of the Island of Sodor. • Winston's Whistle-Stop Tours is a Monorail ride manufactured by Zamperla which opened in Thomas Land in 2013 at a cost of £750,000. • This monorail ride gives guests a bird's-eye view of Thomas Land along a 195m track, at around 3.5 to 4m above the ground. The carriages are based on a Wickham 4B Trolley Car and get seat four guests per vehicle at a time. The attraction also features an audio system in each carriage giving riders a guided tour around Sodor. • • To ride Winston's Whistle-Stop Tours guests under 1.05m must be accompanied by an adult • Thomas Land is a themed area at Drayton Manor Theme Park in Staffordshire, England, based on the children's television series Thomas and Friends. Thomas Land stands on the former site of Robinsons Land, a themed area sponsored by the soft drinks brand of the same name. • Construction began while Drayton Manor was still open in September 2007 and many of the Drayton Manor Robinsons Land rides were moved to other areas of the theme park for the remainder of the season. The rides housed in Robinsons Land except the Veteran Cars (now Sodor's Classic Cars) were then sold to Funland in Hayling Island. • Thomas Land officially opened to the public on 15 March 2008. An expansion of Thomas Land with additional attractions and private party rooms opened on 8 April 2015. • There is also a Thomas Land located in Fuji-Q Highland Park in Japan which opened in 1998 and has some similar rides including Go Go Balst Road which is the same as Rocking Bulstrode and Shuppatsu!
