Nashville country that is known as bro country is considered pop country and is not featured on this channel. Many country artists are on Nashville music labels but have a sense of traditional country music, and we react to those songs and artists as long as they are not pop country. George Strait, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and other artists on Nashville country music labels have incredibly moving songs that traditional country music fans love, but there are so many independent artists out of places like Kentucky, Oklahoma, Canada, Ireland and elsewhere, and we react to them whether they are well known or not. Our goal is to restore traditional country music to prominence because the songwriting and storytelling, when coupled with proper instrumentation and production, is as moving as it gets. Some songs were country music hits, but many are by independent artists who are so talented that they should be heard.
