Someone requested a video of how the relentless pickups sound without the trickfish preamp, so...here it is. No EQ, no preamp, nothing but going straight from the bass into an Audient iD14 and logic pro. There's a tiny bit of compression because the pickups are reeeeeal hot, but otherwise this is exactly what the bass sounds like, no more and no less. • • Still got the La Bella flats on there for now, since I don't quite have time to change back to my usual GHS rounds yet. I will be doing so soon, though! That said, they are still pretty fresh and have some zing, so it's not yet the full thump factor that they will eventually have. I like the combo of these pickups and strings - even though it's obviously not what Billy Sheehan normally sounds like, the presence and articulate midrange is a great fit for my playing style. I took a little inspiration from the fearless flyers version of Signed, Sealed, Delivered for this one!
