👉🏻 Choosing slow food and intentional time working with my hands over mass produced convenience purchased at the store. (And trucked in from who knows where.) • Also, this turkey cobb salad is my new favorite. Such a treat and totally worth the time spent chopping all the ingredients! • Here’s what we typically include in our Cobb salads: • -base of salad greens • -smoked turkey • -bacon • -carrot • -sweet bell pepper • -tomato • -cucumber • -avocado • -hard boiled egg • -blue cheese or Gorgonzola crumbles • -homemade balsamic vinaigrette 🔥 • Sometimes not every ingredient is available, and sometimes I add other things that we have on hand. Today we added chickpeas that I had soaked and cooked and needed to be finished up. • Everyone at my house prefers different dressings, too. Greg and I love the vinaigrette. Malachi likes balsamic vinegar. Creed uses hummus. And Haddon is a diehard ranch fan (we make it ourselves). • Last week’s newsletter is all about salad!
