Brownells Firearm Support Technician Caleb Savant walks us through the installation of his favorite Remington 700 trigger upgrade: the Elftmann ELF 700 SE single-stage trigger module. With parts machined from billet to extremely tight tolerances and sealed aircraft-grade bearings at the pivot points, this a super-smooth trigger with a gratifyingly crisp let-off - exactly what you want on a precision bolt rifle. As the word module indicates, the ELF 700 SE is basically a drop-in upgrade, but Caleb shows us a few tricks that'll help you install it OR any Rem 700 trigger. This includes installing the bolt stop and its spring, as well as the safety lever. The Elftmann folks thoughtfully set up the safety lever so it's ambidextrous, making it totally friendly to left-handed rifles. The ELF 700 SE also comes with three interchangeable trigger springs to help you get the exact pull weight you want. An exposed adjustment screw even lets you fine-tune the pull weight with the trigger in the rifle. • Liked this? Want to see more? Hit the Brownells video library: http://www.brownellsvideos.com
